I modded the Xfli-editor into some crap called the XLfli-editor. Every 2nd line would give you the option to set random byte into address of choice. It didn't have any save function though so every now and then I would reset and save mem between 2800-7800. Originally I also wanted to be able to pixel on the sprite-area in upper/lower-border but that turned out to be too much of a hassle.

Dane: Kinda makes me wonder what editors you used for this! ;-)

Nice, totally missed this release. About the 'new' format: Already used it in Phases 2003 and Cycle 2004. And of course, it was scrolled both in x and y in Tsunami 2005.

about that converter-problem: case closed :)

Do you know another konverter that converts from bmp or whatever pc format to artstudio file?

Submitted by Tch on 24 July 2006
Just tested loading an original Art Studio file.
No problems,must be the converter.

kinda long way round, but i will try that later.
----
tried it and failed, has to do with the file that konv1 outputs i guess. what i will try next is see if art studio can read the file produced with konv1 and then save it again. :/

Ptoing: if it won't work any other way, you could always load an Art Studio picture into UFLI editor, save it, and load that .ufli pic into MUFLI.

Yup got it to work, at some point there will be a mufli from me :)

Hm, loading the ufli stuff works but i can not load art studio files i convert from bmp with konv 1. any pointers? I feel like such a noob.

Ah,it makes sense..
Nope, you only have to write the filename not the .MUP!
The `extension´ is used to identify the sort of file!
So the editor won´t crash after loading a wrong file. ;)

Well I tried it in the latest versions of Vice and CCS, neither did work. I have to enter

BATGIRL.MUP

for example, right?

Strange indeed, just tested it with different drives and it works.

mainly i want to load stuff so i can load lineart into it to work from. But the packed mufli thing did not work either for the stuff on the disk. very strange.

Ptoing, are you trying to load the ufli pics included on the disk? If so, you need to load them as a packed MUFLI file, not using the import UFLI pic option (I'm not sure if this is what you're doing wrong, but it got me at first!)

Looks interesting and I would definately use it but somehow I can't figure out how to load stuff. When I'm in the diskmenu and wanna load anything the drive is busy for a bit and then starts flashing and nothing loaded. I am using WinVice btw.

And,yes it can be a lot bigger!

@WEC: swinging,not bouncing. ;)

@Tempest: probably a little bit of both. ;)
@WEC: Ouch,don´t count on me!
Still working on that UFLI-swing. ;)
@Deekay: The Multicolour mode can be extremely useful.
This logo is a poor example as it was kind of `converted´. ;)
Smart use of it can really help a graphician.
Be smarter than me on which colours you use!!

So cooool :) I'll await the nice gfx coming soon from Johan ;) no doubt about that!!

But why isnt the last charrow available to draw in? OK, there's no sprites, but you still have AFLI-4 in that column?

Totally awesome Logo! There's so much more you can do with this mode than with plain UFLI, it's like having $d021 Rastersplits in your picture! ;-) And contrary to what i thought there actually are situations in which expanded Multicolor sprites are of use, e.g. tight horizontal colorfades! ;-) It's still hard if you make full use of all the features , but atleast the possibility is there now and you have a way to try different approaches when colors are tight in a certain spot!

I'm still in favor of a dotted large cursor when paper/sprite-colors aren't altered, so you could automatically distinguish EVERY drawing mode you're in without looking at the bottom line. But no matter how i begged, xbow wouldn't give it to me.. Bastard! ;-)

I've only had a 15 minute 'play', but this seems like a really amazing tool! The mode is superb, being able to change sprite colours every two lines is like a dream! The editor also has some really great additions such as the undo tool and the extra user-friendliness in identifying colours, pixel/background/sprites etc. I can't wait to give this a proper go!

I don't think anyone should think this is UFLI, but with new features to make it even more complicated to draw in. If anything, the new features will simplify the mode quite a lot, so don't be put off!

So all cycles are wasted now? no more xxxFLI modes? that's great! i lost track of all modes after FLI was invented

Crap, just read the note more in detail and it says something about MUIFLI :(

Props for the editor though... works nice... but i still wouldn't subject myself to this kind of torture... Maybe i'm just too old to work my VCR or UASHDJKSDFLI editor

Regarding emulation issues, Hoxs64 does not show the emulation bug.

Graphicians: CHECK THIS OUT!!

This is one amazing editor!
Sorry for the logo, most of it was made in a different format, and then altered.
But, ENJOY! 8)
