Please take your art discussions and opions to the forums.

Kudos to Mixer for
a) daring the obviously incoming downvotes and giving a shit
b) stumping the screenshot only voting nerds :)

IG, I am not criticizing your opinion - you can like it or not - but your way of presenting an opinion as a fact. CSDB staff seems to be highly keen on rules, instructions and methods so I'm kind of suprised that does not apply in art context. Conceptual art (as it says itself) is very much based on rules that give the outcome. This work is very clear example in that.

I reccomend you to mind your own business and respect the fact people have different opinions and views, and move on. Not everyone will always agree with you on everything, you don't have to try to convince everyone with your point of view.
The votes on this release reflect the facts: some people dislike it while some upvote it for their own reason whatever they are.

IG, I recommend you to study the facts before presenting opinions as them. Start from WP: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conceptual_art

For me it is, whatever excuse you can have for what it's shown by this program for me it's just garbage on screen. You can label art whatever you want, I can label the same thing as garbage. And I am always right.

iAN CooG, so you're stating conceptual art is garbage? As an opinion you have the right, but in the context of art that is totally wrong.

I just cant really grasp the idea behind this. Can you explain what makes it different from copying the kernal eor#x to the screen and colorram ?

@Mixer: If you want it _IN_ graphics compo again, the screen/color ram (static) with earliest clock cycle I can emulate, will be the one to compete? Not sure if I can produce exactly what's shown in screenshot, and I'm not gonna type that screenshot ^^

Yes it's as much random as LDA $D41B can generate random numbers. Running it on different VICE versions or setups, or other emulators (CCS 3 and Hoxs tested) produce different results than the posted thumbnail so it's not deterministic at all. Just random Garbage on screen.

@TheRyk, ok :) But.... is it really random? If you run the program on an emulator or c-64 so that it starts at the earliest possible clock cycle, it should produce pretty much the same image, thus the result is by design, and deterministic. The viewing or "art" experience varies. Audience includes his/hers/society's own and shared concepts, through which one interprets the "art". The Come and Play with us picture is a superb example of this, it is a wonderful mind trick. Thanks for the inspiration, and sorry about this smart assing.

The most PETSCII. But seriously, this is an awesome closeup of rainbow quartz granite - and i know what i am talking about, since i have been collecting fresh rock samples just this very afternoon!

definetely pretty plain PETSCII, but as it produces random gfx, I don't think it makes much sense to compete in Graphics compo (how to vote?), hence I moved it into "WiLD", risking a lot of smartassing about the rules :)

Should I watch it with crossed eyes for 3D? :)
