After three long weeks since the game's release, I finally had a chance to play it (late night at Revision - too noisy to sleep, peaceful enough to focus).

Great game, LHS! The playability is great, when you make a mistake, you only have yourself to blame, plus (as Jak T Rip pointed out) I love the tiny background animations. Also, some nice surprises throughout the game (not to spoil too much) concerning the track and how the opponents and tracks themselves behave. As for the difficulty, I'm in the "on the easier side" camp - in several levels, I made several big mistakes, and still I managed to pass, even though I really felt like I hadn't deserved it. :)

In any case, thank you for this great game, and congratulations on finishing this long-term pet project of yours!!!

I too was left desiring for less jerky turning of the car and perhaps even a better placement on the screen (instead of center, slightly on the opposite of the movement direction).

I wouldn't bother leaving this comment if everything else wasn't so bloody good. I really hope you'll make a V2 with fixed controls at some point - this game deserves it. Check out free game GeneRally for reference of nice controls with much fun traction simulation.

Overall, superbly done!

@LHS I have to admit, i found the controls sluggish / unresponsive when attempting to steer the car.

Nice game, it's apparent that a great deal of effort went into its production.

However, I just don't get the control: short joystick impulses ARE registered by the game as the little wheel turns but the actual car is totally unaffected (at least like 90% percent of the time). Longer presses DO result in some degree of turning (there does not seem to be any reliable way of controlling HOW much) after some considerable lag.
This unresponsiveness of control turns an otherwise great game into a very frustrating experience - please, do something about it!
(And perhaps the very first level could be a little more forgiving - it's the first level after all and the second and third ones are actually easier.)

This "Hot Rod" inspired game has come out as a real surprise. Well done :)

LHS, mate, c'grats for finishing this game! That's been a long project, indeed. Respect for the massive effort and commitment. Thanks for including me in the making. It's been an honour and a fun journey.

About ingame FX, everything that sounds extraordinarily good is Hermit's work. The sound design credit goes to him. Absolutely next level. That's the best non-digi 3-2-1, ever.

On difficulty, as a sim racer, I can see race games from a different aspect. They should be challenging and this game puts up a nice fight while you're chasing the time limit. You have to be pretty fast if you wish to defeat it. I really like that.

Thumbs-Up! for including 3.. 2.. 1.. speech ^_^
I like the small images showing each of the locations.
The game, i found it too difficult..
The road / track should have been wider. Maybe the car should have been positioned more chars away from the direction the car is moving in.

Finally! And what an honour for us that you released it at Forever.

The graphics and small animations are just wonderful... incredible release after 20 years!

Congrats, really happy to finally see the release. Nice overall presentation (intro-screen, menu are new to me.)

@Jucke: That's SID-speech btw, not digi, the same technique as in Pimp My Commodore and Mendegel a Mandarin, intuitive filter-based approach, not formant-based (like the newest one in Uranium Fever of DCR).
